Barbara BellBarbara Bell is Historian for Schuyler County and the town of Reading. She was named "Outstanding Historian of New York State for 1995" by the Association of Municipal Historians. Mrs. Bell has been Historian for Schuyler County, and Reading Town for many years, and has been an energizer for the Schuyler County Historical Society. She lives in Irelandville, near Watkins Glen. Chapters of her book, Letters to Suzanna, appeared in the Crooked Lake Review between May 1995 and April 1996. In the Fall 2000 issue, Barbara tells the story of the Mary and Hannah that carried in 1823 the first cargo from Seneca Lake to New York City.
