Catherine M. Pierce

Catherine Pierce is the Historian for the Town of Lindley in Steuben County, New York. She and her husband Richard are active members of the Jo-Ho's genealogy group and the Steuben County Historical Society. They live in the wooded country near Lindley.

Catherine Pierce has written several articles for the Crooked Lake Review. Her most recent article is about Tobacco Farming and Tobacco Barns in Lindley from 1864 to 1949. She wrote about her Covenhoven-Conover family in the January 1991 issue, and about her grandparent's and her parent's plucky resourcefulness and her parent's prosperity in the Winter 2000 issue. The Pierces wrote about the interest-widening benefits of genealogy studies in the Spring 1998 issue.
